We have played a central role in privatizations throughout Latin America and Asia, and have pioneered many of the techniques used today to accomplish the transactions involved. Our roles date back to the beginning of the trend toward governmental divestitures. This practice has included bridge, permanent, and term financings; pre- export and export receivable financings; trade acceptances; and export purchase, sale, and resale financings, including among the first such transactions done in China.
